A Visit to Fantastic Caverns- Springfield, MO

Fantastic indeed!

Fantastic Caverns is located in Springfield, MO is North America's only drive through cave.  

During the tour you ride on a Jeep pulled tram.  The tour last about 45 minutes and you stay on the wagon the entire time.  A little long for the 2 year in the family. 

Originally the cave was found by a farmer and his dog.  The cave was later explored by 12 women, who's names are on the wall still today.

The journey into the cave bring you to many different areas of the cave system. One area was used for concerts in the 60's.
