Fort Pickens, Gulf Island Seashore

Located in the Gulf Island National Seashore, Fort Pickens was full of history and character. The fort was originally completed 1834 and used until 1947.

As you walk around this historic site you can't help but notice all of the bricks used to build this fort. 21.5 million to be exact. 

The tour is self-guided. You can climb stairs, go in and out of the tunnels and really explore the fort.
